TIP:Click on "Post Links" in the top navigation bar and submit links to the finest content you discover on your own. When published, you will see your userid listed directly underneath the title of the link. Each month, the top link submitters win prizes! To check your standings, click "Top Link Submitters". When you click on any content link, it will appear in a Backwash Launch Frame which has some important tools. You can:
- Send a link to the content to friends along with a brief message.
- Rate the content. Your votes help determine if the content makes it onto our charts, as well as how long it stays on our site. The lowest rated content gets filtered off our site quickly. Rating content helps keep Backwash great so be sure to vote!
- Report a Bad Link. If the link is no longer available, report it to us so we can remove the link from our site. Again, your help improves the site for everyone!
- Feel like talking about the content with the community. Click "Discuss this Content" to get to the message board devoted to this content.
- Coming soon, you'll be able to quickly access similar content with a click of a button.

As stated above, on each columnist's page, there is a link titled "Select as a Favorite". By clicking on it, you have the option to personalize your home page so when you visit Backwash, you'll see your favorite columnists listed on the front page, giving you an easy way to see when they last updated as well as a quick link to reach their latest columns.
To Manage Your Account, click "My Account" at the top of any page on the site. From this page, you can change your Favorites selections, unsubscribe to any newsletter you've signed up for, change your email address and password, write/change your personal profile and perform other functions.
If you've signed up for any premium features such as 'Create Your Own Channel" or Free Webfeeds, you can manage these from this section as well.
TIP:Is the font size on the site too large or small for you? From this page you can change your font size settings across the site too!
